Great right out of the package! I purchased the orange, and the color is true to online photo color... not a deep orange, but a really lovely, slightly creamy, lighter orange. Definitely blocks the light completely, and warmed the room right up. I bought two pairs on sale and couldn't be happier. Something cool about them I didn't realize when purchasing is that they have both a hemmed top for sliding curtain rods through, as well as tabs sown in as part of the top hemline for use with hanging rings. Very cool. These are definite keepers. And for whatever reason, the cats have yet to even attempt clawing them. Bonus!

I work as a nurse and so needless to say I have to work the overnight shift more often than not. So I was looking for curtains that would blackout my room so I could sleep during the day, because I cannot sleep if there is even a bit of sun poking through the window. I read several reviews on this product and several other blackout curtains, I love to do my research before I purchase a product.
When I read through these reviews I was concerned that they wouldn't do what they should, but I bought them anyways because I found more positive than negative reviews.
And I absolutely love them, they make my room incredibly dark, I can sleep anytime during the day comfortably, and I can sleep in during the weekend mornings and my days off. I absolutely suggest these curtains.

P.S. This package comes with two curtains, and my windows are an average size so I was able to just buy one of these products and get 2 curtains to cover 2 of my windows, and keep in mind they are very long!! Totally worth it!

I searched a long time to find a blackout curtain that would block the morning light that shines directly into my baby's east-facing room. I tried several "black-out" curtains from Wal-mart and Target that were MUCH less-expensive. I sadly found that you get what you pay for, and returned them promptly to the stores when they failed to block even half the light.

I stumbled upon these curtains 2 years ago on Amazon, and despite the price, decided to give them a whirl. I received them in the mail, and with much anticipation hung them as fast as possible (sleep deprivation caused by sunlight and street light waking up my 1 year old may have exaggerated my excitement). I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome of the curtains. It was mid-afternoon, and the room was significantly darker. I was happy.

Also, the color (violet) was absolutely gorgeous in my daughter's butterfly themed room. The texture of the curtain was appealing and very soft to the touch. FANTASTIC for a nursery and MUCH prettier than those cheap curtains I had previously tried.

Fast forward two years, and the curtains are still up. They still look fantastic and block a significant amount of light. They allow my now 3 year old daughter to sleep in (a little) and to not be disturbed by street lights.

Why did I rate 4 stars? They are not perfect. Light still comes through in the morning (but to be fair, the sun is hitting the window DIRECTLY). The room is not PITCH black when the curtains are closed. You can still tell that it is daytime. Despite this, they were still excellent for my purposes. If you need pitch black, I'm afraid these are not it.
